Karlach’s Rage set to release August 29

Karlach's Rage

The Secret Lair x Dungeons & Dragons: Karlach’s Rage drop from Wizards of the Coast is set to release on August 29th. This crossover celebrates the 50th anniversary of Dungeons and Dragons and features stunning cards themed around D&D and Baldur’s Gate 3. Karlach’s Rage stands out for its impressive reprint value.

The set is worth about $35 in non-foil form, with each reprint being valuable. Dolmen Gate, a sought-after card for Commander decks, typically sells for $17 and is the standout inclusion. Karlach, Fury of Avernus is priced at $7, offering strong value and beautiful new art.

Stranglehold and Thrill of Possibility also feature notable reprints. Stranglehold usually sells for $6, but its new variant could be worth more. Thrill of Possibility is expected to see a price increase due to its popularity and new artwork.

Karlach’s Rage reprints and value

City on Fire rounds out the reprints at $3. The foil variant offers even more value.

Foil Dolmen Gate cards are scarce and highly priced, making its inclusion a significant boost. While the new foil variant may not match the exact price, it should still be highly coveted. The drop’s success will depend on availability.

If it sells out as expected, secondary market prices could skyrocket. If enough are printed to meet demand, the cards may remain accessible at reasonable prices. Karlach’s Rage is likely to attract both MTG and D&D fans, but this popularity might lead to increased competition and potential issues with scalpers.

Anyone interested should act quickly when sales open at 9 AM PT on August 29th. With its blend of valuable reprints and stunning artwork, the Karlach’s Rage Secret Lair is poised to be one of the most exciting releases yet.
