The Apple Watch Series 10 is set to get a major design upgrade. Reports say it will have a slimmer build and a larger display. The new sizes are expected to be around 49mm and 45mm, up from the current 45mm and 41mm.
The larger 49mm size would match the Apple Watch Ultra 2. However, the Series 10 will likely keep its sleeker design rather than the Ultra’s bulkier build. This could mean a thinner watch but potentially less battery life.
A well-known analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo believes the Series 10 “will feature form factor upgrades, including larger screen sizes, increasing from 45mm/41mm to approximately 49mm/45mm, and a thinner design.” If true, even the smaller Series 10 model would be the biggest small Apple Watch yet.

The thinner design might affect the weight, though.
The Ultra uses titanium to stay light, but the Series 10 will probably stick with aluminum and stainless steel. This could make it heavier, especially the stainless steel version. A titanium option seems unlikely since it would raise the cost close to the Ultra.
One exciting new feature could be 3D-printed parts. Kuo says, “Beginning in the second half of 2024, Apple Watch will include components manufactured using 3D printing technology. Although there was no mass production last year, intensive testing over the past year has significantly improved the production efficiency of 3D printing.
